Evaluation

Program Evaluation

Interlink Insights conducts systematic evaluation for organizations and programs that want to measure changes at the individual or systemic level. Program interventions and initiatives often utilize education, training, policies and other approaches to improve practices (behavior) that result in systemic change. These changes inevitably present themselves in changes of relationships as new resources and current relationships are modified to align with the new behavior. In addition to the traditional measures of individual characteristics, such as learning gains, evaluation of interconnectivity adds measures related to changes in individual social positioning, utilization by others, utilization of others, and a host of other social measures that may be desirable. Furthermore, evaluation of interconnectivity is a unique measure of systems change, as it captures the system of relationships among people, including the degree of fragmentation and cross-group utilization, connectivity between the center and periphery, outreach structure and growth, diffusion patterns of new ideas and innovative practices, and overall measures of cohesiveness as well as many other measures of system quality.

Evaluation for organizations and programs

Interlink Insights personnel have been involved in many evaluation studies, and can assist programs with their unique evaluation needs, whether tailored around the effects of a specific intervention or a broader initiative or campaign.

Evaluation for evaluators

Interlink Insights works with evaluators to assist them with evaluations relevant to social and resource engagement. We can assist evaluators at any level of the evaluation process around any desired scope. We have developed special survey software to collect social/resource network data related to either (1) a specific set of people or (2) an undefined group whose boundaries are discovered through a respondent-driven or snowball sampling method.

Grant opportunities

Interlink Insights pursues grant opportunities to advance understanding and best practices related to the role of interconnectivity in accelerating program and organization effectiveness and impact. We collaborate with organizations and research groups to develop funding proposals that have components relevant to our focus. We are always open to invitations and the discussion of new ideas.
